Building Campaign

Foothills is growing!  And we need your support!

Over the past 30 years, Foothills has served the needs of our rural community in Central New York. Our first program, the Food Pantry, began by assisting five families and has grown to support 150 families each month. Foothills also offers a Thrift Shop, Pet Pantry, and Coffee House events. In addition, we offer services to the community through our Food Sense, Christmas Baskets, Kids Summer Bags, and Back-to-School programs.

Since our inception, we have been located in the basement of the First Presbyterian Church in Holland Patent. However, due to the significant growth of our Foothills services, we are in dire need of a new building. Specifically, we require larger storage areas and single floor access, since many of our clients are seniors or have disabilities and cannot easily navigate the steps required to reach our basement facilities. In addition, we have limited parking in our current location, which can be especially hazardous during inclement weather.

A feasibility study was recently completed and a new property for Foothills has been located that will cost approximately $450,000. Prior to securing the necessary funding, Foothills is required to make a 25% down payment. We will work to cover any remaining expenses through fundraising and grant writing.

Foothills has positively impacted so many of our community members, but we need your help to continue to meet our growing needs. Please consider investing in our community and donating to this special cause. You can contribute directly to Foothills Rural Community Ministry, PO Box 156, Holland Patent, NY 13354.  Please add Building Fund in the memo line of the check. You can also donate online through Venmo @FoothillsBuilding-CampaignPayPal, and @ Foothills Building Campaign.
